Gothic Product Information: All our gothic jewelry is made of fine English pewter and are made in Sheffield, England by master craftsmen, who are members of The Worshipful Company of Pewterers. One advantage of these pewter items, is that they do not need regular polishing to maintain its gorgeous appearance. Pewter jewelry does not tarnish like silver jewelry. To keep your gothic jewelry bright and shiny, an occasional cleaning with a quality proprietary metal polish will keep it looking brilliant. The metal used in the manufacture of all Alchemy's pewter products is the highest grade, 92% tin alloy, (to BSS5140 standard), known as "English Pewter". Some manufacturers misleadingly use the term 'pewter' to describe alloys containing lead. This results in inferior, more easily made products which are heavier, softer and of a darker colour, and are much more prone to tarnishing and disfigurement. This WILL NOT happen with Alchemy Gothic jewelry. |
Le Danse de la Nuit Necklace La Danse de la Nuit necklace, translated as “the dance of the night”, shows several denizens of the night engaged in a playful dance, which likely cannot bode well for the world of the living. Black cord and chain make up the wrap of this necklace, from which are suspended several pewter figurines; each of the figures is a single bat, wings and body contorting and twisting in a sort of aerial ballet. Joyous in appearance, each moves and twists with each motion, shifting back and forth to dance of their own accord. The bottom bat carries with it a precious crystal, shimmering in the light of the large crystal moon—which is also represented here. Set on the chord and chain above the bats, a large crystal is set against a crescent moon frame, giving the dance of the night a source of light and inspiration in a gloriously recreated moon that is nothing short of hauntingly beautiful.
